Job description

Locksmith / Security Technician
Established in 1911, McElheney Security Solutions is the local leader in residential and commercial security solutions. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Locksmith / Security Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining locking systems, safes, and security hardware in the field. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Cut new or duplicate keys using key cutting, impressioning, and code key machines
  • Disassemble, repair, and replace components in mechanical and electrical locking devices
  • Install, service, and maintain door hardware including locks, closers, and related components
  • Set up and maintain master key systems
  • Rekey locks
  • Maintain accurate records of customer locks and key systems

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and maintain detailed records
  • Physical ability to handle tools and perform manual tasks
  • Must be able to pass drug test, criminal background check, and have a clean driving record
