Job Details
About First Coast Security
First Coast Security is a national security services company delivering comprehensive security solutions including armed and unarmed guarding, detection technologies, and physical security systems across 30+ states. We are a veteran-friendly organization experiencing significant growth, and we are expanding our project management capability to support a growing portfolio of large enterprise engagements.
The Role
We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to run physical security scope on an active data center build for one of our largest enterprise clients. The site is a data center campus near New Florence, MO, roughly an hour west of St. Louis on I-70. You will own the security package on your site from design through installation and closeout, working alongside the general contractor, the client's team, and the security integrators doing the install.
This is a jobsite role, not a desk. You will be in construction meetings, walking the site, reading plans, checking installed work against the design, and keeping the security scope on schedule and on budget. If you have run construction projects and know how to hold a vendor to a spec and a date, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
  • Own the physical security scope on an active data center construction site from design through installation and closeout.
  • Manage security integrator vendors against scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Read and work from construction plans, elevations, and design documents across architectural, electrical, and telecommunications disciplines.
  • Attend construction planning and coordination meetings and represent the security scope.
  • Run QA/QC on installed security systems including access control, intrusion detection, camera surveillance, and perimeter protection.
  • Track change orders, review vendor invoices for accuracy, and make recommendations to program leadership.
  • Provide regular status updates on schedule, budget, and installation progress.

What You Bring
Required
  • 5+ years of construction or capital project management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, schedules, and budgets on active construction sites.
  • Proficiency reading construction plans, elevations, and design and construction documents.
  • Working knowledge of physical security systems such as access control, intrusion detection, and camera surveillance.
  • Willingness to be on-site at the construction location and to travel occasionally for training and client meetings (up to approximately 20%).

Strongly Preferred
  • Direct experience on data center, mission-critical, or other high-security builds.
  • Familiarity with Lenel access control systems.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

What We Offer
  • Vehicle allowance provided
  • Company sponsored 401(k)
  • Access to company-sponsored health, dental, and vision plans
  • PTO
  • High degree of autonomy to run your site on your own judgment
  • High-visibility role supporting a marquee enterprise engagement
  • Professional development support for certifications and training
