Responsibilities for bilingual CBSA Security Guard
  • Protect individuals, property, and assets within a CBSA facility

  • Escort individuals safely within the premises 

  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and compassion when working with individuals under stress

  • Observe, monitor, and document behaviour, escalating concerns as needed

  • Conduct regular indoor and outdoor foot patrols

  • Perform frequent wellness and safety checks

  • Utilize security systems, software, and equipment effectively

  • Respond quickly to emergencies using tactical communication and de-escalation techniques

  • Complete detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports

Qualifications for tactical Security Guard
  • A valid Ontario security guard license (Required) 
  • A valid and current Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certificate from a WSIB-recognized training provider (Required) 
  • Canadian citizenship or 5-years permanent residence status (Required)
  • Minimum high school diploma from a recognized Canadian educational institution, or post-secondary education, or an internationally recognized credential supported by WES equivalency. (Required) 
  • Ability to pass a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check (Required) 
  • Available to work flexible hours, in a full-time or part-time capacity. 
  • 1 year experience working with vulnerable sector.
  • 1 year tactical security guard experience (Required) 
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
  • Experience working in a high-stress environment with quick responsiveness to emergency situations.
  • Understanding of the importance of conciseness, security, and safety
