Location: Provo, UT 84601
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay: $10.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Position Summary
Citadel Security USA is looking for a reliable Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight coverage in Provo. This assignment centers on building lock-up procedures and routine foot patrols of designated areas.
The officer will regularly inspect stairwells and the parking garage while remaining attentive to activity and conditions throughout the shift. This position is a good fit for someone who is dependable, comfortable working independently, and able to maintain consistent awareness during overnight hours.
Responsibilities
Building Security
  • Perform assigned building lock-up procedures at designated times.
  • Check designated access points as part of the closing process.
  • Confirm assigned areas have been secured in accordance with post instructions.
  • Report doors, access points, or other security concerns that require attention.
  • Follow all applicable company procedures and assignment instructions.

Foot Patrol
  • Conduct routine walking patrols throughout assigned areas.
  • Inspect stairwells during scheduled patrol rounds.
  • Patrol the parking garage and monitor conditions throughout the assignment.
  • Watch for unusual activity, unauthorized access, property concerns, or safety issues.
  • Maintain a consistent security presence throughout the overnight shift.
  • Communicate significant observations to the appropriate supervisor.

Professional Conduct & Documentation
  • Remain professional when interacting with residents, visitors, employees, and authorized personnel.
  • Follow established procedures when security concerns are identified.
  • Complete required patrol documentation and activity records accurately.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings while performing independent patrol duties.
