Job description

DESCRIPTION:
Reports to the Security Guard Supervisor
Conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols to inspect buildings, equipment, and access points for potential security risks or hazards. (checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates).
Monitoring, registering, and controlling employee and visitor entry/exit points to prevent unauthorized access, including car traffic .
Operating CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and security surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity.
Acting as first responders to emergencies, including calling emergency services, managing, or assisting in evacuations.
Preparing daily logs, incident reports, and activity reports for management review. Answering site phone after hours. Inspecting and verifying Bills of Lading for incoming and outgoing loads. Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials.
Ensuring compliance with company Post Orders, safety protocols, and regulations.
Maintaining a visible, professional presence to prevent theft, violence, or vandalism
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read, write and speak in English (Bilingual a plus)
Strong computer skills preferred
Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and up/down stairs
Ability to work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
Ability to communicate effectively under stress
Attention to detail Professional attitude
Ability to work any shift
Security experience a plus
Minimum High School diploma or GED.
