As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Security Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy grocery retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Sat 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM

Sun 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established armed post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
