Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver - Healthcare Facility in The Dalles, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-related alerts, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Assist with visitor management, directions, and access requests while maintaining a courteous presence in patient-care and public areas.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
