Position Summary
The Security Officer I is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and company assets. This position patrols casino and hotel areas, responds to incidents and emergencies, assists with the secure transfer of money and gaming chips, controls access to restricted areas, and supports compliance with casino policies and applicable gaming regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming.
  • Maintain the safety and security of casino and hotel guests and team members.
  • Patrol casino and hotel areas during assigned shifts to identify and address safety and security concerns.
  • Record investigation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports documenting significant activities and incidents.
  • Assist with the secure transfer of money and gaming chips from the casino floor.
  • Maintain compliance with casino rules, policies, and regulations established by the casino and applicable regulatory authorities.
  • Report day-to-day activities and responsibilities to the Security Supervisor or Manager.
  • Control access to the video lottery facility and other restricted areas.
  • Respond immediately to backup calls.
  • Control and de-escalate potential problems and assist employees and guests during emergencies.
  • Maintain consistent radio contact with the base throughout the assigned shift.
  • Provide customer service and assistance to guests as needed.
  • Attend periodic meetings and required training sessions.
  • Stand at assigned posts for extended periods as directed by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ability to remain composed and respond appropriately during potential problems and emergency situations.
Preferred:
  • Previous security experience.
  • Previous experience in a casino or resort environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to patrol and move throughout casino and hotel areas during assigned shifts.
  • Ability to stand at an assigned post for extended periods.
  • Ability to respond promptly to backup calls and emergency situations.
  • Regular use of radios and other communication equipment.
  • Frequent interaction with guests, team members, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Schedule & Travel
  • Team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
  • Travel is not required for this position.
