Job description

Aretec is seeking mid-to senior-level, hands-on-keyboard CDS engineers to assist product teams in the adoption of technologies and tooling that support modern DevOps practices in AWS. These team members will often be responsible for implementing changes to cloud infrastructure, security components, or build/deployment pipelines. They will be integrated within product teams and provide expertise in our CDS implementation. Must be a US Citizen.
Primary Technologies:
  • AWS (ECS/EKS/EC2/Lambda/S3/RDS)
  • Python
  • Terraform
  • Cloudbees/Jenkins
  • Linux-based container services

Secondary Technologies:
  • Some services are deployed in legacy Windows environments

Demonstrated experience defining or working with:
  • Advocating for/guiding dev teams in DevOps tooling, delivery methods, and cultural practices (requires experience and knowledge beyond simple tasks)
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and raise technical risks and issues for dev team as part of DevOps role.

  • Experience implementing end-to-end continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, configuration management and infrastructure as code (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.) within AWS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental cloud security (e.g., identity and access management, firewalls, etc.)
