Security Officer Summary:

Security Officer Job Responsibilities:

  • OBJECTIVE

Maintain safe, controlled access to the facility/event by screening all entrants, enforcing rules, and preventing unauthorized access.

  • DUTIES
  • Greet all guests in a professional and alert manner.
  • Verify credentials (tickets, wristbands, IDs, staff badges).
  • Conduct bag checks and visual inspections asrequired.
  • Prevent entry of prohibited items (weapons, alcohol if restricted, contraband).
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report immediately.
  • Control entry flow to prevent overcrowding at access points.
  • Ensure emergency exits remain clear at all times.
  • Enforce dress code or event-specific entry requirements (if applicable).
  • Deny access respectfully when necessary and escalate issues to supervisor.
  • PROCEDURES
  • Maintain a visible and alert posture at all times.
  • Use handheld counters if occupancy limits apply.
  • Follow radio communication protocols for incidents or assistance.
  • Do not leave post unless properly relieved.
  • EMERGENCY RESPONSE
  • In case of disturbance, notify supervisor immediately.
  • For medical emergencies, call it in and assist if trained.
  • In evacuation, direct guests calmly to designated exits.
  • Other responsibilities may apply

Security Officer Requirements:

  • Valid Security Officer Certification for stateof FL
  • Willingness tosubmitto a background check
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Prior Customer Service and Hospitality experience
  • Clean and professional appearance
  • Ability to stand up and walk for 8-12hours
  • Flexible availability

Security Officer Preferred Qualifications:
