Requirements needed to apply for Security Guard /Officer openings:

  • You must pass a comprehensive background check, and random drug tests.
  • You must be least 21+ years of age for armed positions.
  • You must have a valid driver's license.
  • You must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You must have (or be capable of obtaining within 30 days of hire) a Denver Security Guard License.
  • For armed positions: You must have (or be capable of obtaining within 30 days of hire) a Denver Armed License Endorsement.
  • For armed positions: You must meet all Oculus (or equivalent) firearms training standards and pass qualifications.
  • For armed positions: You must provide your own body armor, duty belt, firearm, and level 2 or level 3 holster.

Job Functions/Responsibilities of the Security Guard/Officer:

  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
  • Lock buildings, businesses and other designated areas per the clients needs.
  • Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
  • Observe, report, and delegate tasks to the appropriate parties as necessary.
  • Digitally report information: observations, reported occurrences, interviews surveillance activities, etc.
