As a Security Officer Dispatch Operator in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. In this role, you will monitor communications, coordinate responses to security-related activity, document incidents, and serve as a key link between onsite personnel and leadership. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
  • Monitor radio, telephone, alarm, and/or dispatch communications, then relay information to appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner during routine and critical incidents.
  • Document incidents, service calls, alarms, and/or unusual activity in dispatch logs and reporting systems to help support accurate communication and follow-up.
  • Coordinate the movement of officers and/or response personnel across the location based on priority, observed activity, and reported concerns.
  • Support access control, camera monitoring, and other security-related operations from the dispatch post to help to deter unauthorized activity and assist with timely response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
