Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Patrols premises, both on foot and using security vehicles, to deter and detect any unauthorized activity.
  • Uses various surveillance tools, such as cameras and monitoring systems, to keep an eye on activities within the facility.
  • Identifies suspicious behavior, potential threats, and violations of security protocols and recommends improvements to enhance security measures.
  • Checks identification, searches bags, and ensures that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas to prevent potential security threats.
  • Responds to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and security breaches and coordinates with other agencies during critical situations.
  • Uses de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a safe environment.
  • Documents incidents, suspicious activities, and other relevant information in detailed reports.
  • Responds to alarms triggered by security systems and investigates the cause of the alarm and takes appropriate actions.
  • Provides customer service by assisting visitors, giving directions, and providing information about the facility's rules and regulations.
  • Maintains and ensures the proper functioning of security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Escorts individuals off premises when necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of previous experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong multi-taking capabilities and organizational skills.
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Work Environment:
