Job description

We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Lead Technician with a strong background in commercial security systems. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can lead a crew, interpret drawings, coordinate installations, and ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead crews on commercial low voltage and security installations.
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Install and commission access control, CCTV, intrusion, and other security systems.
  • Install card readers, maglocks, electric strikes, REX devices, keypads, door hardware, and IP cameras.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics.
  • Perform MDF/IDF buildouts, cable routing, labeling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate daily tasks with project managers and ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians while maintaining quality workmanship.
  • Ensure all work complies with customer specifications and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of commercial low voltage experience.
  • 2+ years leading crews on commercial projects.
  • Strong experience with access control and IP CCTV systems.
  • Experience with manufacturers such as LenelS2, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, Openpath, AMAG, Software House (CCURE), Gallagher, Bosch, or Honeywell is a plus.
  • Proficient in pulling, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting copper and fiber cabling.
  • Ability to read blueprints and manage installations independently.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and personal hand tools required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
