Global Tax Operations Associate

Location: Saint Paul, MN (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST
Pay Rate: $43-$54/hour
Employment Type: Contract (12+ Months)
Openings: Multiple


About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Global Tax Operations Associates to support international tax servicing activities related to Tax Relief at Source and Tax Reclaim Operations. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in global custody, tax operations, securities operations, or asset servicing who are experienced handling complex tax documentation and operational processes.

This long-term contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a global financial services environment supporting international tax requirements, withholding tax processes, and cross-border securities activities.


Key Responsibilities

Tax Relief at Source Operations

  • Review client eligibility and documentation for reduced withholding tax treatment
  • Prepare, validate, and track market-specific tax forms and supporting documentation
  • Monitor income events, market deadlines, and custodian requirements
  • Support onboarding documentation for future tax relief opportunities
  • Respond to time-sensitive tax documentation requests
  • Partner with clients, custodians, and internal stakeholders to resolve documentation issues

Tax Reclaim Operations

  • Review and validate tax reclaim eligibility
  • Prepare and submit reclaim packages within required deadlines
  • Obtain certificates of residency and supporting tax documentation
  • Track reclaim inventory through filing, payment, rejection, resubmission, and closure
  • Research and resolve reclaim exceptions and rejections
  • Coordinate with custodians, tax authorities, and clients regarding payment validation and issue resolution


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in Global Tax Services, Tax Relief at Source, Tax Reclaim Operations, or Withholding Tax Processing
  • Experience supporting Global Custody Operations, Securities Operations, Asset Servicing, or Investment Operations
  • Strong understanding of tax documentation and operational controls
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with workflow systems, operational trackers, and documentation repositories
