Job description

Software Development Lead

Participate in requirements gathering and design discussions to ensure that the functional aspects are well understood, and appropriate design specifications are identified.

Work with Product Owners to remove obstacles, review design, and ensure final product meets the needs of stakeholders.

Work with the subject matter experts to ensure team designs align with the standards and patterns of the product.

Lead regular product design sessions with the development team. Understand the work being done by the team, helping the team optimize their delivery.

You are expected to code and to lead the software development effort with an emphasis on coding standards to ensure all completed work follows best practices and engineering standards.

Mentor team members in design, coding practices, and software development policies and guidelines.

Champion the Agile/Scrum process, scheduling and leading Agile rituals.

Work closely with other team leads to ensure consistent sprint execution.

Ensure quality presentation of the team's work in the sprint Showcase.

Serve as a gating member of design and code reviews for team members.

Monitor and evaluate industry trends and third party tools

3+ years of experience leading complex software development projects through all phases of the software development life cycle using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering applications using Java Technologies at scale.

Experience in software development leveraging a variety of languages such as Java, Python, NodeJS, etc.

Experience with Java/J2EE, Web Services, Spring Framework, and Messaging queues

Hands on experience of system architecture design and development methodologies

Experience working with CI/CD tools and processes (Jira, Jenkins, code repository and code scanning tools)

Experience working on indexing technology like ElasticSearch and caching technologies like Redis or Memcached

Some understanding of general information security concepts and principles & Experience with security best practices for a modern cloud service

Familiarity with basic network infrastructure and components (load balancing, NAT, scaling, etc.)

Familiarity with basic network management protocols (SNMP, WMI, SMI-S)

Experience in developing and maintaining projects for a SIEM,SOAR platform, and understanding security use cases is a plus

Familiarity with information security. (X.509, GSS/SSPI, Kerberos, TLS, SASL, SCRAM) is a plus
