Job description

Job Summary:
Western & Southern Financial Group (W&SFG) is a Fortune 500 Financial Services company with a long history of strength and stability. They are seeking an IT Senior Software Developer II to drive the evolution of their Enterprise Services and API ecosystem, focusing on building and modernizing cloud-native microservices and APIs.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop cloud-native microservices using C# (.NET Core) and Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure App Services.
• Modernize legacy .NET applications into scalable, distributed microservices architectures.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs using OpenAPI specifications and integrate with Azure API Gateway.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy to AKS or Azure App Services.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Confluent Kafka.
• Utilize MongoDB for document-based data storage.
• Implement secure service-to-service communication using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Design for scalability, resiliency, performance, and high availability.
• Implement monitoring and logging using Elastic and related observability tools.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Azure App Services, and Azure API Gateway.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB or MongoDB.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or Elastic.
