Job description

We are looking for innovative and dynamic professionals with a passion for exceptional service to join our Retail Banking team as a Teller Services Team Leader.

What You’ll Do.

The Teller Services Team Leader is directly responsible for the leadership of their Teller Team while ensuring the Teller Services Representatives provide exceptional member service for all interactions.

  • Lead and direct all daily activities of the Teller Services Team to include employee development, serve as a subject matter expert, enforce sales and service models, recommend disciplinary actions up to and including terminations, prepare performance reviews and coach Tellers to successful performance.
  • Ensure adherence to all center operational policies and procedures.
  • Always uphold service excellence behaviors.
  • Resolve escalated member situations.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities for transaction overrides, decisioning fee refunds, disciplinary actions for Tellers and granting leave.
  • Coach Tellers to success for all service, efficiency, and referral goals.
  • Assist with weekly team meetings and perform regular coaching sessions with Tellers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the Teller Center is following all policies and procedures while partnering to resolve member inquiries when necessary.
  • Participate in Teller recruitment efforts to include interviewing and selection.
  • Compliance with all Bank Secrecy Act rules and conditions.

What We’re Looking For.

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of Teller experience plus 1 year of Teller supervisory experience
  • Banking or Credit Union experience required; will consider non-financial call center leadership experience
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Strong people skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize all aspects of the position
  • Posses an extensive knowledge of SECU products and services
  • Exhibit exceptional reliability and attendance
  • Microsoft Office (to include Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task
