The Appraisal Section Manager leads the review, analysis, and evaluation of real estate appraisals and valuations for residential loans produced by appraisal vendors. The Appraisal Section Manager assigns appraisal reviews to department staff, monitors workflow to ensure efficient completion of assignments and makes adjustments as necessary. The job Follows up on vendor prepared valuations, reconciling differences in opinion or perspective. The Appraisal Section Manager also researches and maintains strong knowledge of residential real estate markets and market conditions within region of responsibility and reviews and evaluates appraisal companies and individual appraisers for approval to pursue Company appraisal bidding.
