This position requires an active Interim Secret clearance or the ability to obtain. Job Description:Configure and deploy Windows based servers. Analyze system logs and identify potential issues. Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Install and configure new hardware and software. Add, remove, or update user account information. Reset passwords. Responsible for documenting the configuration of the system. Troubleshooting any reporting problems. Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running. Configure, add, and delete file systems. Ensure parity between dev, test and production environments.Perform SCAP Scans and complete STIG Checklists in order to provide Information Assurance with necessary artifacts for RMF compliance. Ensure Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidelines are met.Act as a bridge between legacy Windows infrastructure and modern Linux workloads, ensuring seamless interoperability and uptime.Actively participate in the migration, deployment, and monitoring of resources within Microsoft Azure under the mentorship of senior engineers.Utilize command-line interfaces to automate repetitive daily tasks, monitor system health, and manage user accounts.Champion the adoption of Linux-based open-source tools to improve system performance, logging, and monitoring efficiency.Provide Tier 1/2 troubleshooting support, utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve issues efficiently under pressure.Requirements:Required certification: DoD 8571.01M approved Information Assurance-Technical (IAT) Level II (or an IAT Level III) certification such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCPMust have at least 5 years of experience in Windows Systems AdministrationPreferred Skills:Desired Certification: Azure, Linux, AWSWindows Administration & MS Server AdministrationDesired skills:Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows, Linux (any)Platform: Azure, AWS, GCP, OracleServer Applications: Microsoft server suite of applicationsSoftware Applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Team Foundation ServerClearance: Active Interim SecretPhysical and Mental Qualifications:Ability to handle multiple priority and changes in priorities in an everchanging environment.Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)Able to lift up to 15 pounds.Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English languageExecute tasks independently and work as a team.Learns and memories routine tasks.If you thrive on solving complex problems and building meaningful connections, we'd love to hear from you.
