Role Overview

The Senior Associate/VP will join the firm's Secondary Advisory team in New York, with a dedicated focus on GP-led secondary transactions, particularly single-asset and multi-asset continuation vehicles. The Associate/VP will play a central role in execution leadership, sponsor relationship management, and transaction structuring, working closely with Managing Directors, senior distribution professionals, and sector banking teams. This role is designed for a banker who combines M&A-level execution rigor with a deep understanding of private capital markets, investor dynamics, and GP objectives across the fund lifecycle.

Team & Platform Overview (Secondary Advisory / Continuation Vehicles)

The Secondary Advisory platform is part of one of the largest and most active fully integrated Private Capital Advisory franchises globally, with a market-leading presence in GP-led transactions and continuation vehicles.

  • ~20% global GP-led market share in 2025
  • 84 GP-led transactions signed or closed since January 2022
  • $55B+ of GP-led transaction volume signed or closed since 2022

The team operates as one integrated Private Capital Advisory platform, combining:

  • 90+ dedicated secondary advisory professionals across seven global offices
  • 130+ private capital professionals globally

The platform combines M&A-style asset underwriting, sector positioning, and disciplined process execution to deliver consistent, above-market outcomes in sponsor-led secondary transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day execution of single-asset and multi-asset continuation vehicle transactions
  • Own financial modeling, valuation analysis, and underwriting materials at both asset and fund level
  • Prepare and manage CIMs, management presentations, term sheets, and LP election materials
  • Coordinate buyer outreach, bid evaluation, syndication, and closing logistics
  • Serve as a day-to-day coverage point for financial sponsors
  • Manage Associates/Analysts, maintaining high execution standards
  • Support senior bankers in origination and strategic advisory dialogue with GPs

Qualifications & Profile

  • 4-9+ years of experience in investment banking, private capital advisory, or secondary advisory
  • Direct exposure to GP-led transactions or complex sponsor situations
  • Strong foundation in valuation, LBO modeling, and private fund economics
  • Ability to manage complex processes and senior stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities

$200,000 to $275,000 USD; based in NYC.ย
