Job description

Compounder I- 2nd Shift

To be able to operate a forklift in a safe manner, to be able to read a sales order and pack out liquid or powder batches to customer specifications. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Operate all on-site forklifts

Operate scales to tare weight and fill correct containers to designated weight

Track packaging in Sage ERP system

Identify customer ship dates, correct containers and correct fill weight

Fill correct containers to designated weight and close container with proper lid and tool (if necessary)

Print both GHS customer labels in Sage as well as stock labels for keys made for stock

Identify when micro samples are needed, pull correct amount and submit to Quality for testing

Identify flammable vs. non-flammable liquids, apply correct labels, and must complete DOT/IATA training once every three years

Pack out pots, portable tanks and stationary tanks

Follow Quality and SQF guidelines for use of all cleaning chemicals, as well as following allergen procedures

Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing / batching environment preferred

Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds

In-house fork truck certification is required

Forklift operation skills preferred

Working in the warehouse may, on occasion, expose this individual to non-hazardous fumes, and noise from equipment such as forklifts and air compressor. Working in the production rooms may expose this individual to noise from blenders, mixers, pumps, and forklifts.
