Compensation range: $215,045 - $245,766 Annually
The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Position Summary
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybird)
Hours: Monday - Friday, Day shift
This is a highly visible enterprise leadership role responsible for building and modernizing the infrastructure, systems, analytics, and programs that power the full employee experience across a complex, multi-state workforce spanning hourly, salaried, commissioned, field, warehouse, installation, and corporate populations.
As the operational second-in-command to the Chief People Officer, this leader will design and scale the People mechanisms that enable consistency, efficiency, compliance, manager effectiveness, and employee engagement across the organization. The Vice President will oversee payroll, HR technology, people analytics, employee lifecycle operations, learning and development, talent management administration, inclusion and belonging initiatives, workforce compliance, and enterprise-wide People programs.
Equally important, this executive will help shape the future of People Operations at One Workplace by advancing AI-enabled modernization, intelligent automation, and digital workflow redesign that elevate both service delivery and strategic business insight.
This role offers the opportunity to build enterprise-grade People infrastructure at a pivotal stage of organizational evolution and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Operational Architect of the People Function
  • Partner closely with the Chief People Officer to define and execute the long-term operating model for the People organization.
  • Build scalable, disciplined, and high-performing People processes that support organizational complexity and future growth.
  • Establish governance, service standards, and operational rigor across the People function.

Lead Core People Operations & Workforce Infrastructure
  • Oversee payroll operations, employee lifecycle administration, shared services, personnel documentation, and workforce compliance processes across a multi-state employee population.
  • Ensure operational excellence, accuracy, consistency, and employee-centered service delivery across all foundational People workflows.

Own the HR Technology, Systems & AI Modernization Agenda
  • Lead the strategic roadmap and optimization of the People technology ecosystem, including HRIS, payroll systems, ATS, performance management, learning, and related platforms.
  • Drive systems integration, workflow automation, and digital process redesign to improve scalability and user experience.
  • Advance AI-enabled People Operations through intelligent tools, modern self-service capabilities, and data-driven efficiencies.

Build a Best-in-Class People Analytics Capability
  • Establish executive-ready dashboards, workforce reporting, and People KPIs that provide actionable insight to senior leadership.
  • Translate workforce data into strategic recommendations that inform talent and business decisions.

Lead Enterprise People Programs
  • Oversee the operational design and continuous improvement of critical People programs, including performance management, talent review, succession planning, promotion cycles, compliance training, employee listening, and related annual initiatives.
  • Ensure programs are analytically grounded, manager-friendly, and consistently executed across the organization.

Oversee Learning, Talent Program Administration & Inclusion
  • Lead Learning & Development, leadership capability building, internal mobility infrastructure, and talent program administration.
  • Oversee Inclusion & Belonging initiatives embedded across People systems, programs, and employee experiences.

Build High-Performing Teams & Enterprise Partnerships
  • Lead teams across Payroll, HRIS/People Systems, Learning & Development, and People Programs.
  • Serve as a trusted cross-functional partner to Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, and senior business leaders on all matters related to People infrastructure, systems modernization, workforce data, and employee programs.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise building and leading sophisticated People Operations functions in complex, multi-state environments, along with a proven track record of modernizing HR systems, scaling enterprise programs, and translating workforce data into business insight.
This leader will pair strategic vision with strong execution discipline, technical fluency, analytical rigor, and a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and scalable People infrastructure.
