They share flight duties, monitor systems, communicate with air traffic control, and help ensure passenger and crew safety. SIC pilots must be prepared to take control if needed and play a key role in navigation and decision-making. This position is critical in multi-pilot operations, especially in commercial and corporate aviation.

As a Second In Command Pilot, your primary responsibilities include assisting the Captain during all phases of flight, monitoring instruments and controls, and managing radio communications with air traffic control. You may also be tasked with handling specific flight operations such as navigation, systems checks, and checklist management.
