Job description

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician - 2nd Shift to join our team in Rumford, RI!
This is a 2nd shift position with core hours of 3 pm - 11 pm.
The hourly rate for this position is $39.86 per hour + $0.60 per hour shift premium.

The Rumford, RI facility is a unionized location. There is a 60 day probationary period, after which you will be considered a union member and begin paying union dues
What you'll do:
  • Plan, layout, and perform all required operation in the installation, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of complete electrical, electric and high frequency equipment and wiring
  • Tear down and disassemble complicated equipment, diagnose, and remedy troubles quickly to avoid or minimize shutdowns.
  • install and wire motors for a wide variety of machine tools and all type of starts and controls.
  • Establish and install primary and secondary destitution centers, balance loads, and lubricate panel boards.
  • Prepare wiring diagrams and change existing drawings as required to assure up to date maintenance wiring programs.
  • Assist in or build prototype or experimental machinery or equipment including preparation of prints, fabricating parts, assembly ad try outs.
  • Work with outside Electricians or Technicians when required.
  • Perform other maintenance functions, including plumbing carpentry, driving, painting, moving, and installing equipment and furniture.
  • Maintenance of air conditioner, service and maintain boiler.
  • Perform machine maintenance work when required.
  • Direct and instruct several helpers when required and perform maintenance and faculty emergency response duties.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Rhode Island Electrician Journeyman's or Masters License
  • Must have a valid and current Driver's License.
  • Must possess or obtain an OSHA Forklift License within 3 months of hire date.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen,
  • U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
    Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
