To thrive as a Seaworld Rescue team member, candidates typically need a background in marine biology or animal science, hands-on animal care experience, and physical stamina. Familiarity with marine rescue equipment, wildlife capture and transport techniques, and relevant certifications such as SCUBA and animal handling permits are often required. Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication abilities are valuable soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure safe, effective animal rescues and successful rehabilitation efforts in demanding, often unpredictable environments.
As a Seaworld Rescue team member, your day-to-day tasks can include responding to reports of distressed marine animals, assisting with rescues and transport, performing health assessments, and supporting rehabilitation and release efforts. Duties often involve close collaboration with veterinarians, biologists, and other team members to provide the best possible care for rescued animals. You may also participate in public education and outreach activities to raise awareness about marine conservation. While every day brings new challenges, your work directly contributes to the health and recovery of wildlife in need.
A SeaWorld Rescue job involves rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing marine animals in distress. Team members respond to calls about injured, sick, or stranded wildlife, providing medical care and support. They work closely with veterinarians, researchers, and conservationists to ensure the animals receive proper treatment. The role also includes public education and advocacy to promote ocean conservation and responsible wildlife interaction.

At SeaWorld, we're passionate about caring for animals. In fact, we've already rescued over 40,000 animals (and counting!). And we can save you from being stuck in just another job.
