Quality Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Ensures the organization's compliance to required quality standards by maintaining documentation including inspection results. Manages the gauge calibration system. Suggests continuous improvement ideas and cost savings opportunities.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains calibration standards and records for all gauges including employee and customer owned gauges.
  • Updates PPAP related information as requested by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer.
  • Participates in Quality Department meetings.
  • Complies with all Company envirnmental, health and safety requiments.
  • Participates in APQP meetings as requested.
  • Reads and interprets drawings.
  • Performs first piece inspection.
  • Performs final inspection.
  • Performs receiving inspection.
  • Manages sort and rework of rejected parts.
  • Understands the process flow of customer complaints.
  • Completes SBP-10 Nonconforming Product Process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software packages.
  • Proficient with the Plex Quality Module.
  • Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork.
  • Assists in the development of control pland, FMEA's, and checksheets.
  • Responds to customer complaints for reporting and resolution as requested.
  • Understands and applies quality related processes and supporting documents.
  • Performs capability studies and analyzes data.
  • Maintains quality system records as required.
  • Participated in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 process, supporting document and overview training.
  • Performs MSA studies at the required frequency
  • In the absence of the Quality Manger, manages the deviation process per SBP-10 Nonconforming Product.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Associate's Degree or 3 years experience in a position in a position of similar responsibilities and job knowledge. Mechanical and Mathmatical aptitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Computer - eyestrain and wrist strain. Able to lift 40 pounds.
