POSITION OVERVIEWย 

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Service Plumber to join the fast-growing team. This person is responsible for installing and repairing water systems in commercial customer buildings. Duties include performing routine maintenance of plumbing systems, responding to call, and installing plumbing systems. Other general tasks include measuring, cutting, bending pipe material and installing and maintaining water systems.ย 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial buildingsย 
  • Respond to plumbing calls from our general contracting teamย 
  • Install plumbing systems in new construction and rehab propertiesย 
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobsย 
  • Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions and taking appropriate actionย 
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, vacuum pump, recovery unit, test equipment utilized in the trade and a motor vehicleย 
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle in effective and safe working conditionย 
  • Install and maintain water supply systemsย 
  • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)ย 
  • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.ย 
  • Participate in meetings and training as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functionsย 
  • Prepare written materials for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying informationย 
  • Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety or health concernsย 
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipmentย 
  • Other duties may be assigned as neededย 

ACCOUNTABILITIESย 

  • Independently install, repair, and maintain plumbing systemsย 
  • Continue developing technical skills and industry knowledgeย 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issuesย 
  • Mentor and support junior plumbers and apprenticesย 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and plumbing codesย 

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENTย ย 

This position reports to the local Service Manager and has a responsibility to all of our customers.ย 

QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • 3-5+ years of experience in commercial and industrial plumbingย 
  • Strong knowledge of common plumbing terminology, fittings, materials, pipes, tools, & equipmentย 
  • Able to diagnose and repair electric and gas water heatersย 
  • Valid Driver License w/acceptable driving recordย ย 
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a teamย 
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systemsย 
  • Familiarity with manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the plumbing tradeย 
  • Familiar with Health and Safety regulationsย 
  • Knowledge of proper methods of storing equipment, materials and suppliesย 
  • Understanding of the current regulations within the fieldย

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
