Description
Braen Stone Industries, the leading supplier of construction materials including stone, sand, asphalt, septic materials, recycled materials and agricultural limestone, is currently seeking hardworking Weighmasters who are able to work out of all of our quarry locations (Haledon, Ringwood, Franklin, Sparta).
We are a safety minded company and expect the successful candidate to be as well. This position is hourly, non-exempt from overtime. Overtime is paid after 40 hours are worked each week. Hours of work will vary.

Job Description
Overtime Status: Non- Exempt
The expectation of a Weighmaster is to ensure all the trucks safely leave the facility within legal weight limit in addition to monitoring for compliance of Company rules and policy. The employee must work well with vendors, truck drivers, and customers while also being responsible, punctual, productive, organized, work well under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment and always following the Company's core values of Service, Integrity and Respect.
Expectations/ Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Accurately weighing and ticketing trucks on the incoming/outbound scales
• Managing tickets on a timely basis via computer database to ensure proper record of transactions
• Run ticketing reports to monitor errors and proper customer information
• Handling of incoming cash sales with accuracy and in coordination with finance team
• Directing trucks on and off the scales to maintain an even flow of truck traffic
• Dispatch delivery trucks in coordination with daily schedules
• Maintain accurate records of incoming recyclable materials
• Professionally assist customers with inquiries
• Responsible for communicating Braen Safety requirements to all customers and reporting to Safety team when rules are not followed
Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes:
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work professionally with all other team members and customers
• Basic math and cashiering skills
• Microsoft office skills and data entry skills
• Must be organized, pro-active and able to work independently, in a fast paced setting
• Ability and willingness to acquire the NJ Certified Weighmaster License within probationary period (licensing fees paid by Braen)
• Bilingual communication skills are an asset
Physical Demands:
• Sitting for long periods of time
• Ability and willingness to work at all Braen locations
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • Hours of work for day shift are generally 5:00 am - 5:00pm; Hours for night shift are generally 5:30pm - 5:30am - subject to change
  • Exposure to high levels of noise to be expected
  • Punctual attendance is required
  • Travel is required to all of our New Jersey quarry locations.

Pay: $19.50-$22.50/Hour
This position may be subjected to seasonal layoffs.
