Description
Please note: This is a seasonal position ending no later than the end of September. It could possibly become permanent depending on performance and company need.
GENERAL SCOPE: This position is critical to the successful and accurate distribution of beer to our customers. This person will be part of a team that is responsible for the picking and loading of product to be delivered to customers the following day. Team members will be assigned clean up duties that are rotating to be completed just before the end of the shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Picks Will Call orders from paper as requested.
  • Picks Sales orders using wearable scanner.
  • Drive lift truck to build and move boards.
  • All shifts help keep warehouse and facility clean, maintained and organized according to Olympic Eagle standards at all times.
  • Know and understand code dating and freshness policies of Olympic Eagle products.
  • Drive lift truck with completed and partial pallets to appropriate storage locations in warehouse.
  • Rotates and condenses stock as needed to ensure proper rotation.
  • Works breakage when time permits.
  • Execute safety requirements and policies, including, but not limited to wearing safety gloves, obtaining and maintaining forklift certification, and following safety measures when using all machinery

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • High School Diploma beneficial and preferred
  • 6th grade math and English proficiency required
  • Ability to, regularly and frequently, lift a minimum of 21lbs and a maximum of 160lbs required
  • To complete and attain in house Forklift Certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, twist, bend and occasionally stoop and squat. This position requires the extensive use of hands and arms to drive forklift and pick up bottles, cans and cases on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities include close, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Due to the seasonal nature of this position, benefits are not offered (other than WA Sick). Below is an overview of what would be offered should you become permanent:
Olympic Eagle provides company sponsored Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance to all Full Time Employees. Employees are able to enroll themselves and their families in medical, dental and vision insurance. 401k is provided to non-union employees. Union employees will be part of a pension program. Employees will also receive 8 paid holidays and up to 40 hours of vacation after the first year of employment. This will increase to 80 hours at 2 years. We follow the Washington State Sick Leave for sick time accruals.
