Seasonal Customer Support Representative

Location: Remote — U.S.

Employment: Seasonal, Part-Time

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours/week

Season: November through February

Pay: $25/hour

About the Role

Giftly is looking for Seasonal Customer Support Representatives to join our team during our busiest time of year.

You'll help customers through email, phone, and chat, answering questions, troubleshooting common issues, and making sure customers get timely, helpful responses.

This is a great fit for someone who communicates clearly, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.

Please note the schedule before applying:

Giftly operates 24/7, and customer volume increases significantly during the holiday season. Seasonal representatives will work approximately 20 hours per week on a rotating schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight hours.

Schedules may vary from week to week based on customer volume. Flexibility outside of traditional Monday–Friday business hours is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to customer inquiries through email, phone, and chat.
  • Provide friendly, clear, and efficient customer support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common customer issues using established processes and internal resources.
  • Help customers with gift delivery, redemption, virtual cards, account verification, and other common questions.
  • Identify when an issue requires additional review and escalate it to the appropriate team member.
  • Categorize customer inquiries accurately.
  • Identify and consolidate duplicate inquiries.
  • Monitor support queues and prioritize inquiries approaching our 24-hour response target.
  • Adapt between email, phone, and chat based on where customer demand is highest.
  • Communicate recurring customer issues or trends to the core support team.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers by phone as well as in writing.
  • Experience in escalations a plus
  • Able to remain patient and professional with frustrated or confused customers.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and following documented processes.
  • Able to work independently and manage priorities without constant supervision.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet environment appropriate for customer phone calls.
  • Availability for approximately 20 hours per week throughout the seasonal period.
  • Bonus points: Experience in fraud prevention, transaction review, payments, or fintech is a plus. This is primarily a customer support role, but team members with relevant experience may be cross-trained to assist our fraud team.

Previous customer support experience is preferred, particularly experience supporting customers through email, phone, or chat, but we're most interested in candidates who demonstrate excellent communication, reliability, judgment, and a willingness to learn.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be successful in this role if you can quickly learn our most common customer issues, resolve them accurately and efficiently, recognize when something needs to be escalated, and help us ensure customers receive a meaningful response within 24 hours.

Because this is a seasonal position, we're particularly looking for people who can learn quickly, be dependable during our busiest weeks, and comfortably move between different support channels as customer needs change.
