Job description

Purpose of the Role
The Assistant Production Coordinator supports all areas of operations, from raw product receiving to outbound delivery staging. This position plays a key role in maintaining workflow across production, warehouse, and delivery preparation. They work closely with both Production and Warehouse Coordinators to ensure product, materials, and spaces are organized, stocked, and flowing efficiently-especially during peak times.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the Sunday flower cutting and receiving process
  • Help receive, organize, and stock raw materials: packaging, plush, glass, greens
  • Support route packing and outbound logistics, including SpeeDee order prep
  • Ensure trumpet vases, sleeves, buckets, and carts are stocked and ready for production and delivery
  • Support cooler returns and assist with maintaining cooler organization
  • Assist in executing production tasks and keeping product flowing to bouquet makers
  • Perform stickering, grouping, and final production day tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of production floor, cooler, and break areas
  • Fill in for Lead Coordinators during absences or as directed
  • Help maintain product notes and updates (OneNote or other systems)
  • Flex between production and warehouse areas as needed, especially during holidays

Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in perishable production or warehouse environment preferred
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, OneNote, production tools)
  • Strong time management and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to take initiative and support wherever needed

Physical Requirements
  • Able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, turn, reach, pull, push, and lift up to 55 lbs
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, cold, or warm environments (coolers as low as 35°F)
  • Able to stand and move about for extended periods
  • Proficient in using pallet jacks and moving large buckets or boxes
