Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Tele position at an acute care hospital in Florida, requiring 2 years of experience, Rapid Response team experience, and total joints experience.

Details
  • Work in a mixed Med/Surg Tele unit at a 210-bed acute care hospital
  • High-acuity patient population including total joints cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required within scope
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Charting system: Meditech
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Requirements
  • Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Rapid Response team experience required
  • Total joints experience required
  • Experience with a 1:6 patient ratio required
  • Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
  • This is a high-acuity mixed unit — please review all requirements carefully before applying
  • Clinical orientation consists of a mandatory 5-shift orientation week (approximately 36–40 hours)
  • Plan to complete online modules (approximately 4 hours) prior to the start date
  • Scrubs of any color are acceptable
  • No RTO permitted during the first or last week of the assignment
  • Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work 1 holiday eve and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work 1 holiday eve and 2 holidays
  • 3 call-outs during the assignment may result in termination
  • Local candidates are not accepted for this position
