Are you a skilled electrician ready to lead high-quality residential solar projects? Quality Solar is looking for an Experienced Solar Electrician or Foreman to lead our installation crews across Illinois. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Field Operations: Direct and manage the electrical installation, wiring, and commissioning of residential solar PV systems and battery storage.
  • Ensure Quality & Code Compliance: Perform high-quality electrical work while ensuring full compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local Illinois building codes, and utility interconnection standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor apprentice electricians and installers on-site, fostering a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.
  • System Integration & Troubleshooting: Handle main panel upgrades (MPUs), wire management, inverter commissioning, battery integration, and system diagnostics.
  • Safety First: Enforce OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocols, ensuring safe ladder use, roof navigation, and electrical practices at all times.
  • Coordination: Partner with project managers, logistics/warehouse personnel, and local inspectors to ensure seamless project execution and timely job completion.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of residential electrical experience (solar-specific experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and structural blueprints.
  • System Familiarity: Hands-on experience with residential energy systems (e.g., Enphase, Tesla Powerwall, SolarEdge, Generac) and EV charging stations is a strong plus.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on pitched roofs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying seasonal weather conditions.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for operating the company vehicle).
