Job description

Join our dynamic team and work in a beautiful setting with an unobstructed view of the ocean! We are looking individuals who can provide authentic and memorable experiences that deliver the Southern California Dream to our guests.
We are looking for a Seasonal Engineer. This person would be eligible for full time hours through the season, ending around 9/07/2026.
The General Maintenance Engineer will perform routine maintenance throughout both properties and will monitor, operate, and maintain the mechanical equipment in all areas. Must be able to work on their own with little or no supervision and available 24/7. Regularly required to stand walk and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds. This person should possess general troubleshooting skills to repair kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and HVAC equipment. Must be able to do general facilities maintenance to include but not limited to replace light switches, outlets, light fixtures, and work on basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment. Familiar with basic OSHA safety requirements, and fire life safety systems. This person should have some painting and patching skills. This person must have good communication skills and be somewhat proficient with computers.
This list is not all-encompassing and that daily work tasks may and can be altered to meet business needs.
The rate for this position ranges from $22.49-$26.00/hour.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
OSHA laws require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have a potential of risk to your health or safety. The following is a list of some of the devices required. This is only a sample list and is not to be all-inclusive do to the nature of the work conductive to the Engineering Department.
• Protective gloves, eye protection, breathing protection, hearing protection, lock-out/tag-out protection and any other equipment as necessary to provide a safe working environment.
All work duties conducted by Engineering personal will be evaluated and regular scheduled training and refresher training will be conducted as required by law. Associates will be trained as to the use and care of any and all required PPE equipment. The hotel provides this required PPE and it is the responsibility of engineer to wear this equipment as it relates to daily work assignments. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE to your Manager.
