Job description

The Corn Maze Manager ensures the safety of all participants, employees and volunteers throughout the Corn Maze, and provides logistical oversight of participants, maze attractions and facilities. We are hiring two (2) Corn Maze Managers for the 2026 fall season.
*SEASONAL (September 25th - November 1st)
Major Responsibilities:
1. Oversee Maze Staff and Volunteers: Greet Maze Staff and Volunteers upon arrival. Oversee employee and volunteer shift changes; assign them to their work area based on predetermined schedules, ensure that opening and closing checklists are completed each day. Train volunteers on-site as needed.
2. Maintain accurate on-site accounting of all cash and credit transactions: Supervise ticket & merchandise sales; count and reconcile cash. Make the bank deposit using the provided key.
3. Monitor event facilities: Continually monitor cash box levels, maze attractions, restrooms, and all common areas for functionality and cleanliness. Notify Eliada's maintenance department if there are equipment failures or ongoing facilities issues.
4. Maintain partnership with the concession stand staff: Inventory drinks at concession stand and provide volunteer support.
Requirements
1. Responsible for managing and resolving customer service issues including escalations.
2. Ensure the provision of quality services to all guests through participation in the agency's CQI process.
3. Display competence & responsiveness to cultural differences present in both customer & employee population.
4. The ability to carry out duties unsupervised and during normal business hours as required.?
Reporting Relationship:
Position reports to: Eliada Development Coordinator
Qualifications:
Knowledge: Basic event oversight procedures; ability to use Square Up technology.
Experience: Customer service and cash handling experience preferred. Experience driving a tractor is desired. Must be 18 years or older.
Availability: Must be available to work each weekend (Fri evening - Sun) from September 25 to Nov 1. Weekday shifts available based on private/corporate Corn Maze event rentals.
Skills/physical/working conditions: Must possess a valid driver's license, pass background check, and drug test. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk around indoors and outdoors for duration of shift, up to 12 hours. Must be willing and able to drive a tractor. On-site training provided.
