Job description

Regional Robotics Director
The Regional Robotics Director is responsible for leading, developing, and growing Smith+Nephew's Robotics business across an assigned region. This role provides leadership to Robotics Clinical Specialists and Robotics sales personnel, drives adoption of robotic-assisted technology, partners with Sales Leadership to execute commercial strategies, and works collaboratively with surgeons, health systems, and cross-functional teams to accelerate CORI growth.
The Regional Robotics Director is accountable for achieving regional business objectives, developing talent, executing strategic initiatives, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences throughout the robotic-assisted surgery journey.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Robotics Clinical Specialists and Robotics sales professionals.
  • Drive regional execution of CORI strategic initiatives and commercial objectives.
  • Partner with Area Vice Presidents, DOS leaders, and commercial leadership to identify growth opportunities.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through field engagement and performance development.
  • Support surgeon conversion strategies, customer retention efforts, and robotic utilization growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Education, Finance, and Operations to ensure successful execution of business plans.
  • Monitor business performance metrics and implement actions to achieve revenue and utilization targets.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and succession planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical business standards.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of medical device sales, sales leadership, robotics, orthopedics, or related healthcare experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience leading teams or influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned geography.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with robotic-assisted surgical technology.
  • Orthopedic reconstruction or robotics experience.
  • Experience leading field-based commercial teams.
  • Proven ability to grow market share and drive technology adoption.
