About the Role

The Vegetation Imagery Analyst reports to the Senior Operations Manager/Ops manager at ACRT Inc. This position will play a key role in identifying, inspecting, and evaluating trees and brush along utility lines through satellite imaging. Analyzing aerial photographs and/or satellite images for vegetation-related issues such as declining, diseased, and dying trees that could impact utility reliability. This is a seasonal, remote position, running from June to November.

Pay is $22 to $25 an hour, 20 to 30 hours a week

About You

Must haves:

  • Education: Associate's degree in forestry, horticulture or related field

Or

  • Experience: Two years of related experience. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice to haves:

  • Education: BS Degree in Forestry or Horticulture
  • Experience: One year of experience as a utility Arborist. ISA Certification a plus

Your Skills:

  • Ability to learn and use company or job-specific software systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook] or similar software suite
  • Ability to identify trees and knowledge of growth rates
  • Ability to read and follow maps
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to exercise good judgement to make good business decisions
  • Knowledge of vegetation management use is a plus
  • Knowledge of electric utility facilities and hardware is a plus

Drug/Alcohol Testing:

  • Drug/alcohol testing is required
