Position Overview:
We are seeking an analytically driven GIS Analyst to support a key client in the electric utility industry, focused on transmission and distribution (T&D) systems. This is a client-facing, in-office role based in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate has solid technical GIS skills, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to support planning and operational initiatives through spatial data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze spatial and tabular data related to electric transmission and distribution networks.
  • Develop advanced GIS models and tools for asset management, network planning, and regulatory reporting.
  • Work directly with client stakeholders to interpret business needs and deliver GIS-based analytical solutions.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to present insights from spatial data.
  • Perform spatial analysis for proximity, risk, outage impact, and network connectivity.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support decision-making with GIS analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional GIS experience in a utility or infrastructure environment.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS (Desktop, Pro, and Online).
  • Experience managing and analyzing utility GIS data (e.g., substations, transmission lines).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills in a client-facing environment.
  • Proficiency with SQL and working with large datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or ArcGIS Dashboards.
  • Familiarity with utility asset or outage management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP).
  • Proficiency with Python, Model Builder, or automation tools for geospatial analysis.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in electric utilities.
  • Background in statistical or geospatial modeling.

Work Environment:

  • This is a 100% in-office role, based in Fort Worth, TX.
  • Frequent interaction with client stakeholders is expected.
  • Occasional collaboration with field personnel and engineers may be required.
