Position: Boat Captain Location: Page, Arizona โ€“ Heart of Stunning National Parks Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience Reports To: Manager Employment Type: Seasonal Your Adventure Awaits: As a captain of our diverse fleet, you'll be at the helm of an extraordinary summer experience. Navigate through the crystal-clear waters of Lake Powell, surrounded by awe-inspiring national parks. Your primary mission? To ensure a safe, efficient, and unforgettable journey for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Masterfully pilot various types of vessels, ensuring safety and seaworthiness.
  • Be the face of APEX, greeting and assisting guests with their needs and adventures.
  • Share your knowledge of the area's rich history, geography, and culture.
  • Maintain and manage all onboard equipment, ensuring a pristine and secure environment.
  • Foster a team spirit and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Uphold APEXโ€™s high standards of customer service, professionalism, and excellence.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • A valid Merchant Mariner Credential.
  • Proficient in marine craft communication, signaling, and navigation.
  • At least 3 years of boat handling experience.
  • Current CPR or first aid certification.
  • A problem-solver with multitasking abilities.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Relevant post-secondary training or 4-5 years of experience in maritime operations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of marina services and amenities.
  • Ability to tactfully resolve guest concerns.
  • Willingness to learn various safety and environmental protocols.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and operate in diverse weather conditions.

Language Skills:

Proficiency in English for effective communication. Additional languages are a plus.

Working Conditions:

Youโ€™ll work in varied environments - on boats, docks, and occasionally in office settings. Be prepared for all kinds of weather, from sunshine to rain, as you navigate through this dynamic role.
