Job Description – Driver/Warehouse Picker
Title
Driver/Warehouse Picker
Summary
The Macomb Group, a recognized leading distributor in the Midwest for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings. We are looking for a full-time driver/warehouse picker at our Camp Hill, PA location. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join our growing team.
Responsibilities

WAREHOUSE:

  • Picks and pulls material in the most efficient manner.
  • Puts material away upon receipt.
  • Supports the counter, as needed.
  • Provides information to improve policies and procedures set forth by Warehouse Manager.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and rules governing warehouse personnel.
  • Reports inventory discrepancies of stock and incoming freight to Warehouse Manager.

DRIVER:

  • Makes deliveries by truck when needed.
  • Follows all safety regulations at all times.
  • Reports accident/injuries to Warehouse Manager and Human Resource Manager.
  • Complete responsibility for own actions in regard to safety and care of the truck.
  • Maintain professional attitude at all times on the job.
  • Verify all material and paperwork for deliveries.
  • Filling out and turning in all paperwork as directed.
  • Obtaining and giving proper signatures (proof of delivery) and packing lists for all material delivered and/or picked up.
  • Inform Manager of any feedback from jobsite foreman or personnel.
  • Communicating with Manager regarding any delivery issues or problems.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as packing slips, work instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret and respond to routine correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
