Job description

We are currently hiring afull time seasonal Warehouse OperatorinMilton, DE for 1st shift (8am-415pm Monday-Friday).

The Warehouse Operator will assist with the daily functions of the warehouse including but not limited to, shipping, receiving, put away, inventory, keg line and pallet and keg repair to ensure orders are selected and loaded for customer delivery within company designated time frame. 

What You'll Brew:  

  • Including the proper use of all PPE, this may include but is not limited to; bump caps, safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection in conjunction with all GMP regulations
  • Safely and accurately operate equipment including but not limited to; multiple stretch wrap machines and forklifts 
  • Ensure warehouse/assigned areas, are kept in compliance with company safety standards. Including, but not limited to: sweeping the warehouse, removing garbage, pallets, and debris from the building and placed in the proper areas 
  • Ability to accurately utilize SAPB Warehouse Management System

  • Communicate with coworkers, face to face, Brewery phones, and radio. Must carry radio as required 
  • Operating environment is complex and densely populated with production equipment and forklifts that necessitates high situational awareness 
  • Work overtime as needed which may require 12-hour days, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:

  • All production roles are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s)
  • Certain roles may require the use of a respirator and passing the associated fit test
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
  • Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
  • Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
  • Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
  • Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
  • Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
  • Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for long periods of time, climb flights of stairs, and wear eye, hearing, and head protection. 
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Occasionally work from elevated areas (ladders, platforms, and others as required).

  • There is frequent exposure production environments: Subject to loud and constant noise, and non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold

  • Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a "get-it-done, can-do" attitude 
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts as needed 
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate Fork Truck

Level:

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $18.35-$22.55 per hour. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
