Job description

WJBF NewsChannel 6-the #1 television station in Augusta and part of Nexstar Media Group, one of the nation's largest media companies-is hiring Part-Time Seasonal Production Techs to join our award-winning remote production team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in live broadcast production in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload production equipment at each remote location
Run and secure audio and video cables between cameras and the production trailer
Take direction from the director and other technical crew during live broadcasts
Assist with camera operations: positions may be on the field (handheld camera) or atop the press box (tripod-mounted)
May be assigned to support audio setup, monitoring, or live graphics
Travel with the crew using station vehicles to different high school football stadiums each Friday
Work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
Requirements:
Must be available every Friday from August 7th through November 6th
Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs of equipment
Comfortable working outdoors and at various locations
Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction in high-pressure environments
Punctual, dependable, and a team player
Prior production or event experience is a plus, but not required-training provided

Additional Details:

Approx. 12-15 hours each Friday
Transportation to/from each location is provided by the station
