We're a locally owned, 21st-century retirement community looking for a dedicated Landscape Technician to help care for our grounds and facilities with skill, pride, and professionalism.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.), with overtime required for emergencies including snow removal. This role also participates in an on-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance needs.

As a Landscape Technician, you play a key role in maintaining both the beauty and functionality of our community. Your responsibilities include:

Maintaining lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs through mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, grading, and seasonal clean-up.
Performing snow removal duties, including shoveling, plowing support, and operating snow equipment.
Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment such as chain saws, string trimmers, edgers, riding mowers, and snow blowers.
Applying treatments to weeds and trees as needed.
Installing and repairing fencing and performing routine building maintenance (interior and exterior).
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance and responding to emergency and after-hours repair needs as part of the on-call rotation.
Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders.
Maintaining clean, safe work areas and strictly following OSHA safety standards.
Providing exceptional customer service to residents while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Requirements

Minimum of one year of landscaping or maintenance experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to operate power equipment safely and perform minor equipment repairs.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, wet conditions).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
A positive, professional attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

This is a highly active role requiring standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting, and operating equipment throughout the day.
