Job description

The Engineer supports the daily operation and upkeep of the property by maintaining guest cottages, common areas, and resort equipment. This hands-on role helps ensure the resort remains safe, functional, and guest-ready through routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive care.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair resort equipment, facilities, pools, and common-area systems
  • Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to help reduce equipment downtime and service interruptions
  • Inspect resort facilities regularly to identify maintenance or safety concerns
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following company safety procedures
  • Assist during emergencies such as power outages, severe weather, or equipment failures
  • Work closely with other departments to support smooth day-to-day resort operations
  • Keep accurate records of completed work orders, repairs, and inspections
  • Support additional maintenance projects and operational tasks as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, resort, campground, or property maintenance settings
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
