This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit,ย charitable organizationย committed to strengthening community through youth development,ย healthyย livingย and social responsibility.ย The Youth Development Seasonal Admin will support the Summer Camp Program Director in the development and implementation of curriculum for all out of school time programs.ย ย

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:ย
- Update andย maintainย all YSA administrative binders, first aid kits, and program supply boxes to ensure materials are current, complete, and organized.ย
- Count, organize, and distribute snacks and supplies to program sites as needed.ย
- Organize, inventory, and restock the YSA supply closet and program materials.ย
- Organize andย maintainย staff shirts and related program apparel.ย
- Maintain inventory records for YSA school phones, tablets, and other program technology equipment.ย
- Assist Youth Development administrative staff with general program support and specialย projects asย assigned.ย
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and storage areas.ย
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.ย
- Follow YMCA policies, procedures, and safety standards while supporting the mission and values of the YMCA of Greater San Antonio.ย
- Perform other duties as assigned by Youth Development leadership staff.ย

QUALIFICATIONS:ย
- Must be at least 16 years of age.ย
- High schoolย student, high schoolย diploma, or GED preferred.ย
- Ability to stay organized and complete tasksย in a timely manner.ย
- Ability to work independently and follow directions from supervisors.ย
- Strong communicationย and teamwork skills.ย
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google/Gmail, or similar technology preferred.ย
- Ability toย establishย and maintain positive relationships with staff and program participants.ย
- Must be dependable, responsible, and able toย maintainย confidentiality when handling program materials and information.ย
- Certifications required within the first week of hire: Redwoods Bloodborne Pathogens, Defensive Driving,ย Child Abuse Prevention,ย and Hazardous Communications.ย
- Must be able to lift, carry, organize, and transport supplies up to 20 pounds as needed.ย ย
- Incumbent must be a positive role model to children and display emotional maturity and stability at all times.ย ย
- Certifications required within the firstย 60ย daysย of hire:ย YMCA approved basicย life savingย skills such as CPR, First Aid, AED, and Emergency Oxygen.ย This position must have the ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.ย
- Must have aย valid driverโs license as well as capacity to drive to various locations within the greater San Antonio metropolitan area.ย

- Work is performed in a fast-paced office, childcare room, and outdoor environments.ย ย
- Incumbentย must have the ability to communicate with staff,ย childrenย and parents.ย ย
- This position requiresย high levelsย of attention and alertness.ย ย
- Visual acuity isย requiredย for child supervision.ย ย
- Repetitive stooping and bending with regular lifting of up to 20 pounds isย required.ย Abilityย to stand and walk forย long periodsย at a time isย required,ย as well as,ย the ability to run and be able toย participateย in sports.ย ย
- Mustย be able to respond to emergency situations.ย
