Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

As a part of the medical team, this position is responsible for responding to a variety of guest and staff incidents on the farm. Medical staff must be able to provide basic first aid for occurrences such as stings, trips and minor cuts or scrapes. Guest interaction is required. This position reports to the Medical Team Leader. This is a seasonal, part to full time position.

  • Ability to respond quickly when an incident occurs on the farm
  • Ability to provide basic first aid, following procedure to assess whether further care is needed
  • Ability to complete medical incident reports in a timely manner
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Interacts with guests in a friendly manner at all times
  • Works well in a fast paced, team environment
  • Active EMT, nursing or other advanced medical license is required
