Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Lift Operator to join our team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for operating an industrial powered truck to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a powered industrial truck, values workplace safety, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a powered industrial truck to safely transport materials throughout the warehouse and designated work areas.
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks.
  • Checking loads is secure.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
  • Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
  • Dumping materials into machine hoppers.
  • Inspect products and materials for quality and report any discrepancies or damage.
  • Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines while maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience operating a powered industrial truck in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
  • Ability to remain seated while operating a forklift for extended periods, including driving in reverse for long durations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately judge distances, heights, and surrounding hazards.
  • Good math, language, and reading skills.
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
  • May be required to use RF scanner gun.
  • A valid state driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit on a powered industrial truck positioning body to drive backward for long periods of time.
  • Have a good sense of balance
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to judge distance and heights.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures depending on seasonal conditions.

  • Full-time | Temp-to-Hire
  • Compensation: $18.50 per hour

Work Schedule
  • Wednesday – Sunday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (or until work is completed)
  • Saturday – Tuesday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (or until work is completed)
