Summary of the Position:

Tishman Speyer is seeking to hire a Seasonal Light Duty Cleaner. This person will be responsible for daily cleaning tasks for front of house space and customer (tenant) spaces. The Seasonal Light Duty Cleaner will ensure all areas are clean, disinfected, and items are restocked and maintained to our health and safety standards. The successful candidate will help to create and maintain a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for our customers (tenants), visitors, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove trash and dispose of waste in designated areas.

  • Broom, sweep, dust mop and damp mop non-carpeted flooring inside customer (tenant) spaces, elevator, lobbies and corridors.

  • Broom, sweep, and/or vacuum all carpeted flooring inside customer (tenant) spaces, elevator, lobbies and corridors.

  • Dust and wipe down all furniture, equipment, telephones, louvers, baseboards, doors, picture frames, and windowsills.

  • Disinfect all common areas including corridors, elevator, and lobbies.

  • Light surface cleaning of all open areas within the customer (tenant) space.

  • Disinfect all high touch areas such as interior door handles/knobs, elevator call buttons, and light switches.

  • Clean, restock and disinfect lavatories.

  • Empty, clean, and line wastebaskets.

  • Report to a supervisor any items that may be malfunctioning or not working properly.

  • Communicate with customers, employees, and management regarding tasks, requests, and updates as needed.

  • Additional cleaning tasks as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Passion for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbally.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for an extended period, at a minimum of 8 hours.

  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, reach over-head, place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

  • Ability to travel between floors and buildings.

  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment that may be required, such as but not limited to: safety glasses, safety goggles, face shield, chemical-resistant reusable gloves, disposable gloves, face mask, nuisance dust mask, and closed shoes with non-slip soles.

The compensation range for this role is $19.229 - $24.036 per hour.
