The Kenosha County Parks Division is accepting applications for an Assistant Beach Manager to work at Silver Lake Park's public beach for the 2026 season, Memorial Day through Labor Day weekendsUnder the direct supervision of the Beach Manager, the Assistant Beach Manager assists in the operation and supervision of all beach personnel. The Assistant Beach Manager is responsible for the safe operation of Silver Lake beach and must maintain order and control of the premises at all times. The Assistant Beach Manager supports the Beach Manager with daily tasks including but not limited to supervision, scheduling, assigning projects, and resolving conflicts with the general public.

2026 Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.00 per hourHiring BonusA Kenosha County seasonal Park candidate who is successfully hired and employed for at least 30 days shall be awarded a $200.00 bonus to their paycheck.
WORK SCHEDULE- Silver Lake beach is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day
- Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with rotating days off, weekends
- Hours are typically 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. but flexibility may be allowed
- Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Work schedules are dependent on weather and water quality conditions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assign and support all personnel at these facilities in the performance of their duties (i.e. park operations attendants, lifeguards, concession/fee collector associates)
- Under the guidance and general direction of the Beach Manager, maintain high standards of safety, emergency care, and maintenance
- Enforce Kenosha County rules and regulations
- Make work schedules, rotations, and personnel assignments
- Complete bi-weekly payroll reports for staff
- Evaluate staff
- Keep necessary records
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS- Current American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training or Ellis & Associates (Ellis) Lifeguard Training
- ARC or Ellis Waterfront Lifeguarding
- ARC or Ellis Lifeguard Training Instructor
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification
JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE- Must be at least 18 years old at time of application
- Two years of open water experience as a lifeguard is preferred
- Management experience is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and maintain during incumbency, with acceptable driving record

- Ability to enforce rules and regulations in an effective and appropriate manner
